I think our country need to reinforce new modern equipment for our navy and air force in order to maintain peace and balance the military power in the region.
I am sure that our army is quite strong enough to compare in ASEAN but our navy and air force still far away from them; especially our navy. I do not see any news that our country is upgrading the navy ( may be I don't know much), so we should upgrade the navy to protect our wide-sea area.
I agreed. Myanmar army is strong, tough, battle hardened, well experience, and have lots of good modern weapons. Also the 9th largest armies in the world. The problem is navy and air force is weak. Navy needs submarines, larger tonnage ships ( 5000tons ), and ocean going ships. Air force needs larger fleet of attack and transport helicopters, C-131, and more modern attack jet fighters. Also long range ground to air anod ground missiles in radius of 2000 miles. May be aerial dome pilotless aircrafts.
